Are you part of HM Land Registry?
No. uklandregistry.co.uk is an independent commercial service. We obtain documents from publicly available sources and resell them for your convenience.
What does a Title Plan look like and what information does it give?
A Title Plan is an official map, created using an extract from a standard OS map. It shows the general location and extent of a property registered in the UK. It is provided by the HM Land Registry. It is not proof of ownership and indicates an approximate geographic extent and general boundary, not precise boundary lines.
What does a Title Register look like and what information does it give?
A Title Register is provided by the HM Land Registry. It is a legal document that proves ownership of the land or property and also lists any rights or restrictions attached to it. It is in three parts:
  • Part A – Property Register, which gives information about the property or land such as address, freehold/leasehold and any rights, e.g. a shared driveway.
  • Part B – Proprietorship Register, which gives information about the legal owner, e.g. name and address and how much they paid for the property, plus any restrictions on the sale of the land or restrictions on changing it.
  • Part C – Charges Register, which lists any legal constraints or financial burdens secured against the property.

What if you can't find the property?
If the property is not registered or we cannot locate it, we will contact you and issue a full refund.
Can I receive paper copies by post?
Paper copies are not currently available — all documents are delivered by email as PDFs.
